We have lots of guys to follow in the CHL this year.

Robertson has a hat-trick in his second game of the year after going pointless in the first game.

Liam Hawel opened the season with a two goal game and has another goal in his game tonight.

Damiani has a goal in his first game.

What was the deal with Stransky? I think he was pretty slow, maybe not much of a playmaker. Looking at his stats he really didn't do much in 4 years in the AHL after near back to back 40 goal campaigns in the WHL (39 and 40). I hope we aren't having the same conversation about Robertson and Mascherin in a few years.

Wasnt there a player coup in Flint a while back?
To add to what other have said, the owner was suspended for 5 years. His son Hakon Nilsen, an undrafted defenseman, is now 20, and still with the Firebirds. He actually leads them in scoring, with 2 points in his first two games. But he had 8 points in 61 games last year, so I imagine that is like kind of like when Niemi led the Stars in scoring after he had two assists in the opener against Pittsburgh. The revolt was of interest to the Stars because Nick Caamano was on that '15-'16 team.

Some more cuts... Interested to see how the Gleason kid does in round rock. Liked his offensive skill set at traverse city. Is he related to Tim Gleason (ex-King and panther amongst others)? Both from Michigan.

They are cousins actually.
Ben has some serious bulking up to do to match his cousin's size tho :D I think Tim was like 40+ pounds heavier .
But yeah Gleason is quite interesting pick-up. I think that we could get rewarded for that
